I arrived in Israel at 8am on Monday morning after an all night flight from New York. I’d spoken at the Christian Coalition in Orlando, FL on Saturday night and earlier that day, participated in the “Call,” a gathering of 50,000 believers on the Capitol Mall in Washington, D. C. It’s been a busy weekend, mostly on airlines and getting through airports.
It’s my 10th time to Israel. I never grow tired of coming here. I’ve been visiting Jewish families who have chosen to live here and raise their families here as well as meeting with some of the leading government officials. I got here only to find out that the New York Post has a story saying that I said it’s safer to be in Israel than American cities. Sometimes, it gets very frustrating to deal with the press. I don’t think they always try to get things wrong, but boy, do they!
I didn’t say I felt safer in Israel than the USA, but that I don’t feel afraid in Israel, and that in SOME AMERICAN cities, I don’t always feel safe. I pointed out that every city has dangers and risks and I don’t think of Israel as any more dangerous than most American cities. Now, that paper makes it sound like I’m saying America is not safe.
Last week, there were reports that portrayed me as saying that conservative voters would be okay with Mitt Romney on the ticket with John McCain. I didn’t say that. I specifically said these things:
1. That I committed to support the ticket and would do so.
2. That many conservatives would have a problem with Romney and that it had NOTHING to do with his faith, but his inconsistent views. I said that I personally would still vote for McCain if he picked Romney, but thought there were many who wouldn’t, including many people who supported me. I further said I hoped he didn’t pick someone to be his VP who wasn’t. pro-life.
3. I didn’t bring these issues up, but tried to respond honestly to questions.
HuckPAC Team, don’t believe everything you read. (Except the good stuff!)
Gotta go for now---keep speaking out on the forums and watch for me on Hannity and Colmes on Wednesday night and Fox and Friends on Thursday morning.
Have a great day!

On Romney, A letter I sent to McCain:
Dear Senator McCain,
I am writing this letter with no realistic thought that you will ever come across this appeal to your campaign. However, I am trying to express my deep concern about your upcoming decision to pick a Vice Presidential running mate. The act of writing this presents me with the opportunity for a cathartic experience as I relate to you my observations from an average citizen who wants to see your campaign succeed and succeed in an honorable fashion.
First, I must express my deep respect for you as a person, for your love of country, and for your willingness to sacrifice for a cause greater than yourself. There is no reason for you to pontificate about your motives or to try to convince anyone of your patriotism and love of our great republic. Your actions have spoken louder than any speech read from a teleprompter. Many times I have disagreed with you and many times I have questioned your conservative credentials. But I can assure you I have always respected your political courage. I have grown to admire you even more during the course of the primary campaign even though I was an enthusiastic supporter of the Governor of Arkansas. I appreciated the fact that you chose not to run attacks on your fellow Republicans, as did most of the other candidates.
But there was one candidate who chose to break the 11th commandment of Ronald Reagan. Immediately, he turned on the Governor of Arkansas when he won the Iowa caucuses and then on you as you won the state of New Hampshire. It was no surprise to me. This is a man who has promoted himself more than he has promoted his country. This is a man who has held three positions on abortion in 15 years and whose wife contributed to the Planned Parenthood organization when he was governor of Massachusetts. He has proven that his political positions are formed not by core convictions deep in his soul but by the prevailing beliefs of the group he is courting for votes. There are other examples such as his pandering to gay rights groups in Massachusetts and his love for tax hikes or should I say “fees.” I truly believe that he is a political creature who will say and do anything to gain and hold onto position and power. He is a self-promoter and he is not willing to dedicate himself to a greater cause. He is looking for a cause or position to make “himself greater.” You saw through this during the campaign and it was clear that you found his political tactics repulsive. Senator, you are an honorable man and I hope that you can find someone just as honorable to stand by you in your run to the White House. As I stated you are someone I have disagreed with many times but also someone I have always respected. The former governor of Massachusetts is someone in the primary campaign that I found myself agreeing with but also someone I could never respect. Do you want someone whose love of self is greater than his love of country so close to the Presidency? He has proven that his loyalty lies as deep as his own grip on power. I know you will do the right thing for your campaign and for our country. We are living in the most challenging time of my 44 years on this earth and we are facing many dangers as a nation. These are dangers that challenge our republic and our way of life. They are political, economic, and spiritual. We desperately need principled men and women to lead us. I believe you are one of them and that the former governor of Massachusetts is not.
May God bless you and may He bless the United States of America.

I agree with comments by Jillian.....I pasted end of it it below
and yet I know it would have to be a miracle ! May God Truly shed His grace on America...by putting someone in the whitehouse who humbly walks with God and has the experience of managing. Just as God raised up Joseph in Egypt to save Israel, He can do this if we pray.
I am in agreement with Jillian and anyone else who wants to stand in faith in this last hour !!!Jillian said....
"Whatever the outcome, it is gratifying to see how Gov. Huckabee is getting so much more media exposure and speaking engagements. He is becoming such an influential person, not only in politics, but also in addressing the moral and spiritual questions of our country, such as he did at The Call event on the Washington D.C. Mall. As a leader, he is a gift from God to this generation, I believe... A man for “such a time as this.”Prayers can and must be raised for this election and for more leaders with integrity and convictions, such as Gov. Mike Huckabee.
"Therefore I exhort first of all that supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks be made for all men, for kings and all who are in authority, that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and reverence. For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Savior, who desires all men to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth." (The Apostle Paul, 1 Timothy 2:1-4 NKJV "AMEN JILLIAN !!!

I have been a supporter of Gov. Huckabee since he announced he was running for president. I have to say that if McCain chooses anyone other than Gov. Huckabee as his VP, he will be making a huge mistake and it could cost him the election. Gov. Huckabee is the only candidate running for president who carried the major southern states in the primaries. These votes will be needed in order for McCain to win in November. I also believe that Gov. Huckabee would be an excellant presidential choice in 2012 after McCain retires from politics.

I would just like to add a comment to this blog...I believe Romney is big money, corporate elite republican and would never give my support/money/time to anyone who supports him...he's flip flopped on CORE values and for a man to Flip on issues of such precedance so late in his years his unspeakable as far as im concerned...i believe his ties with bain capital...his influence in wanting chinese contracts to take over pentagon cyber security...and the way he governed Mass. are all reasons not to vote for this man or anyman who puts him on their ticket...I am fed up with this election process...I cant believe we have to choose between Obama and McCain...If Romney is on the ticket with McCain not only will i not vote for McCain but I will vote for Obama...something I said from the beginning I wouldnt do....but here is why....the house and the senate are democrat controlled so their agenda will more than likely pass regardless of a republican president....also I actually believe that Obama will do more for the middle class in this country than McCain will do....This entire drill now bs is making me sick....they have plenty of millions of acres of land in the gulf already and they do nothing....Corporate greed is running our country and eventually it will end by destroying our economy and ruining the middle class...but the rich will have fat pockets and so they dont care....also I feel if romney is on the ticket he as good as obama....romney isn't prolife...atleast not from my perspective so i consider that issue a lose/lose either way...so i vote on different social issues.....to be honest if romney isnt on the ticket i might just vote Huckabee as a write in or for bob barr just so americans will see how disgusted we all are with this mess....The GOP is disgusting for the most part....it lacks good men like huckabee....i appreciate all the hard work hes doing and will continue to sponsor Huckabee with my time and money when I can....I have told more that 1000 people about Mike easily....in four years maybe this country can dig itself out of the grave....I just hope the damage is not irreparable....thanks for listening to this young man vent....god bless all....

I have studied extensively both Huckabee and Romney because I felt I could vote for either one of them back when they were presidential nominees. There were some things that Huckabee said that made me so proud to be a Christian. It gave me a good feeling! I looked up his record and was impressed. He did have less of a budget surplus than Romney, but he spent a lot of his money on education and everybody knows that Arkansas needed it. (Massachusetts just didn't have the same need so how can you compare the two governors?) I applaud him for that. I also chuckled at a lot of his "down-home" responses. He makes complicated things seem more simple. Romney, I also like. I know he has changed his mind (aka flip-flopped as you call it). That doesn't bother me, since I know of no person on earth who has not changed their mind at one time or another. I also noticed that many times his original plans were changed re: state health care paying for abortions, gay marriage rights when he was governor of Massachusetts by liberal members of his state government before they passed the bills. His knowledge on financial matters and his integrity could be a strength to McCain. Romney also was blessed with an ability to express his views clearly and easy to understand. And I don't think he needs to explain his religion to anyone. The Mormon website answered a lot of my questions. Also, his hairdo and his stiff demeanor have nothing to do with his ability to be an effective leader. So I would be happy with either one of these men as VP.

Captain Obvious,
Just want to add that giving up the primary American brain polluter (the TV) has been one of the best decisions we have ever made. It's hard at first, but definitely worth it. I don't have to continually tell my kids, "look away!" Also, you will get more work accomplished. But if you do it, make sure you purchase some good videos because the silence is odd at first.
Mxnwilson,
Nah, I'm not strong! I'm a wimp! Just can't stand all the junk on the tube anymore. Plus, it's much better for your blood pressure - no more yelling at the liberal news people. (Now I just yell at my computer a couple of times a day) Trust me, you can do it!

Governor Huckabee! I'm a Ouachita Baptist grad from Hot Springs and I'm studying at Hebrew University here in Jerusalem. I was in Sderot yesterday and had no clue you were there!
I know this is crazy, but in the random chance that I could bump into you, my Israeli number is 052-598-4251.
How long will you be here and are you speaking anywhere? Are you speaking at Hebrew U by any chance?
I hope you get picked for VP because I'm voting absentee!

Jill,
I have just now discovered your post about the hot chocolate with marshmellows, and since I have gone back to the weight watchers point system, that would be a great treat as it is only 2 points. Also, Juliee is making me hungry for jelly beans since she calls you jill-y-bean, and they are also low in points.(smile)Juliee,
I too got disgusted when I tried to watch Romney on h&c, so I just turned it to espn to watch the littlle league baseball games.
I wish I were as strong as Mrs. P. She really had the right idea!On a more serious note, there are two great posts made by Anderson, Scott, and Ashley, Geri on "John Gard's new television ad". I know sometimes I fail to see these because sometimes they get lost in the mix. They have made some excellent points as they address the abortion issue.

Suzan,
thank-you for the link and information on Rob Portman. Looks as though he has had a considerable amount of experience. A possibility there unless his current ties to the present Bush administration hurt him. I am wondering if McCain's announcement of vp is in Ohio because of Portman or the fact that Huckabee received a solid 30% of the votes in the Ohio primary. Hoping for the latter of course! -

Mike, I agree with the other poster that you have to get yourself pumped in the media for vp. If you don't think you can do it yourself, have a meeting with Rollins and Chip and get them to talk about you every time they get on the media this week and next. They need to mention all the polls that show you help the ticket most. (survey usa eleciton, Zogby and Rasmussen). The media is not reporting the truth and they need to report this to the American people. Also, Obama is looking like he will get Iowa without you. Have them to just start going off about you as they and you have nothing to lose... We need you on the ticket with McCain and while we have blogged and written McCain and called over and over, the media is the best way to get the word across to millions of people at once. Final push, also folks on here, do your part. Call McCain at 703-418-2008 and ask for McCain/Huckabee. Call the GOP convention and ask for Mike as a key note speaker, saying you HOPE it will be as vp 651-467-2008.

Send in comments to Fox and let them know how disgusted we are that they advertise being fair and balanced and Sean uses the program to shove his personl views down the throats of the American people, not trying in the least to be fair or balanced. He may be able to voice his opinon on his radio show as Limbaugh does, but the Fox show should be impartial, in my opinion and respectful to the others being considered. Hannity makes me want to never watch that channel. I only tune in when Mike is on there, but hearing how he is still pumping Romney is disgusting. Especially when Sean is constantly complaining about Obama's flip flopping and then the next breath oozes praise about Romney. How pathetic that he can't see Romney is exactly like Obama, no convictions, no back bone, just whatever it takes to win...(still not working for Romney)

I JUST FOUND THIS ARTICLE POSTED ON HUCK'S ARMY. IT WAS INTERESTING TO SEE THIS SO SOON AFTER MAKING MY PREVIOUS COMMENTS ON HUCK PAC--- REFERRING TO HUCKABEE'S "ALL SMILES" APPEARANCE ON FOX. THIS ARTICLE BY "JUSTGRACE", IS NOT ONLY BEAUTIFULLY WRITTEN, BUT TOUCHED THE CONTINUAL HOPE IN MY HEART!
Post subject: "What If"... Our Man is Chosen?
Posted: Tue Aug 19, 2008 10:38 am.I’m not a betting person. I try not to “speculate” on groundless rumors or put too much hope in the “visions” of fallible people.
But I can scarcely help but wonder...
-- If perhaps the trip not long ago to McCain’s campaign headquarters, where we saw Mike Huckabee grinning so broadly on FoxNews, was for the purpose of him “mentoring” John McCain in how to speak to an evangelical audience at the Saddleback Civil Forum. Sen. McCain’s interview content was inspiring and his delivery much more confident than in the past.
-- If Gov. Huckabee is the mysterious “someone else” rumored to be a possible Vice Presidential running mate for McCain.
-- If the Main Stream Media (MSM) dismissed Huckabee’s name from the Vice Presidential contenders list after he opted to go on a planned romantic anniversary cruise with his wife, instead of attending a barbeque for vice presidential “wanabees” at McCain’s Arizona ranch.
-- If the reason we know little of Mike’s schedule, when and where he will speak at the Republican National Convention, is because he will give the vice presidential speech.
-- If the fact that John McCain likes to be known as a “maverick” might not cause him to go ahead and choose a running mate who is not the choice of the main stream media or the RNC.
-- If both John and Cindy McCain are talking together about what a tremendous man of character, intelligence, and hope Governor Huckabee is, especially in light of his recent trip, along with Cindy McCain, to visit Rwanda with the One campaign delegation.
-- If Mike’s current trip to Israel would be important to not only Israel, where Huckabee is considered a “hero,” but also to some position (like Vice President) that would help a McCain presidency?
...Not to raise any false hopes, but could this be the scenario thus far?
It will be interesting to see how God leads in the events of the nation. He causes (allows) leaders to rise and fall. It is sometimes hard for us to pray, “Thy will be done,” because we think our wills and ideas must surely be best.
Whatever the outcome, it is gratifying to see how Gov. A man for “such a time as this.”

Jill,
A July 24, 2008, article in The Wall Street Journal gives background information about Rob Portman (http://blogs.wsj.com/washwire/2008/07/24/meet-the-republican-vp-prospect-rob-portman/). He has over a decade of experience as a Congressional Representative from Ohio, served in the Office of Legislative Affairs for President George H.W. Bush, and was Trade Representative and budget director for President George W. Bush.
Of course, Ohio's 20 electoral votes are an attraction as well. If McCain's VP is announced in Ohio on August 29th, a Portman pick might not be too surprising.

Huckpac,
I just read all 99 postings. There is a lot of potential energy waiting to bust out. McCain would be doing our country a disservice if he chooses someone other than Mike Huckabee.
Using a little bit of foresight you can see if the ticket is McCain/Huckabee the southern red states could become candy apple red. I see it as a win-win. Same as I see the Fair Tax as a win-win.
Every comment I've made on a Huckabee web site has been posted, which I am thankful.
I still listen to Sean Hannity occassionally just to see. So far I believe he still screens his callers for the Fair Tax and Huckabee. I believe he puts the calls for Romney at the head of the line. Nothing has changed. I would rather listen to some of the callers on c_span. I don't believe they screen them there. At least you get some variety.
I also like listening to Herman Caine, I wish we could listen to him in Jacksonville.
I don't believe I could give up my TV, but I do watch it in moderation. Currently I enjoy watching the Olympics.
Does anyone know of a station that is Fair and Balanced? If Fox was it was shot lived.
I received a card to send for Senator McCain Birthday. I returned it with a type written note explaining why Huckabee could be his running mate and that he needs to give to receive.
This is the most activity I have seen in a long time from so many different responders. Thanks to all.
The energy is great! Thank you Mike!

Sean just said that "Mitt Waumnee" is the one that he is for; now again for the umpteenth time. He also asked Karl R. if he was for him too. They think it is down to MR or TP (he needs to keep his private life to himself; i am not interested)
They also said that they do not think that McCain has yet made up his mind... ??
Loretta,
I had to send in at least about 6 comments to Sean's network before it showed up. One may have been too long but the rest were short. Keep trying ..... and change it up a bit. (they know how to wear one down don't they?)Juliee,
Good observance there about Portman from Ohio! I still don't know much about him. Good idea about that card. Maybe I can find a picture of Mike that I can paste on the inside. I better get it there quick before he makes his decision.Anybody believe in astrology signs? I am definitely not into that. But I just discovered that Huckabee, McCain and myself are Virgos.... what does that mean? ...ha! I really have no clue...... I am probably just running out of anything to say.

I live in one of America's big cities, and it probably is safer in Israel. At least the police there respond to violence and allow people to defend themselves against it. They realize that there is good and evil. Here, we operate with the worldview that people are basically good, and that any violence is a result of the environment. Therefore, as my mayor Kwame Kilpatrick pointed out, kids don't need character education. Sure.

Deborah: There is an answer to your question. When Richard Nixon resigned in 1973, Vice President Gerald Ford became President. If memory serves, he named Nelson Rockefeller as his Vice President.
So I believe that Ms Whitman would need to name a Vice President. But I am hoping that John McCain understands clearly that success in business is no qualification for high national office. It shows only that you know how to compete, not govern. Which is why it is often said that the skills needed to get yourself elected President and those needed to be a good President are not the same.

Mike,
Please, IF the VP “question” comes up during your Fox appearances this week; say something in favor of yourself!!! Do what you know how to do best! (BE HONEST)
It would create a huge media buzz!
Try to mention the Rasmussen report that shows how you would help the ticket and the many other VP polls that put you at the top. You are the most popular VP choice and many people aren’t going to be enthusiastic about voting for McCain without you on the ticket.
Maybe mention the fact that your name ironically never seems to get mentioned as a VP possibility, and the polls that favor you never seem to get brought up.
The media on the right, “conservative talking heads,” don’t want to acknowledge your popularity in the VP polls, because they are in bed with the corporate giant, Bain Capital/Clear Channel.
The media on the left ignore you, because they know with you on McCain’s ticket would give McCain a huge advantage with the voting bloc they fear the most. (The entire republican base, a solid core group of voters) A McCain/ Huckabee ticket would be a huge threat to the liberal media’s quest for Obama. I’m not trying to tell you what to do, it just seems like they always ask you, and I know you cannot promote yourself, but if they ask you, please answer with all the “honesty” you possibly can. Tell them, since you asked……….
Much love to you and Janet! -

BTW--I'm another one whose short post was not deemed worthy to be posted on the Fox News poll. Only 40 something have made it so far.
Fair and balanced? I think probably not, Fox. I'm DIZZY from the "no spin zone".
...................................................
Captain Obvious,
I was another one that they chose not to post.. I did ask why they never mentioned Mike Huckabee as a poss. VP for McCain, since he had won just about every poll....I think Fox news should change their logo, fair and balanced is a lie... So, am I calling them liars...... You bet......

Doctor David:
What happens if McCain gets elected with Meg Whitman as his Veep and something happens to McCain and he can no longer serve.
Does Meg Whitman appoint a new V.P.? Or would she be President without a V.P.?

Exactly what I am thinking Jill. Of course I will still write Huckabee for VP somewhere on the response. And kudos to you mrs P. about turning off the TV. All it does is get me upset anyhow. Perhaps we could start a ground swell movement and get the vast majority of the public to just switch over to alternative sources on the internet. Think of all the advantages. I've been thinking all morning about the power of the press. The constitution says by, for, and of the people, not of the press. All the authority they have assumed and no responsibility. NRA Joe.

Deborah in Dayton: When I heard that John McCain would be making his VP announcement in Dayton, I immediately thought of you. It has to be a good omen. A great symbolic victory for you if the good news happens there!
But if the news is otherwise, we will always be able to say "Remember Dayton", just like the people of Texas said about the Alamo, which is still honored after all these years.
You'll win either way.

Together We Stand:
It makes sense that Obama would choose Sam Nunn as his running mate, because he mentioned him by name to Pastor Rick Warren at the Saddleback Church Presidential Civil Forum.
McCain threw out the names of Bill Frist and Mike Huckabee. Since Bill Frist has never been mentioned as a running mate, it makes sense that McCain would choose Mike Huckabee as V.P. However, you would think that Mike Huckabee might know that by now.
McCain has let it leak that he will announce his V.P. in Dayton on August 29. As I live in Dayton, I do not think I will attend the celebration, because I still need more confidence that McCain cares even a tiny bit what conservative evangelicals actually think.
President GWBush knew he needed evangelicals to win and GWB was a bonafide born again Christian after having spoken with Arthur Blessit and Billy Graham.
McCain's track record is so liberal, I don't see how he can survive without Huckabee. With McCain it's all about blind ambition, and power, power, and more power.
Sure hope McCain makes the moral choice and puts Huckabee on the ticket. He still has time to stand up to Rick Davis and his lobbyist buddies and do the right thing.
With a McCain/Huckabee ticket, God will be on our side and we cannot lose!

The news is all over Google.......... and spreading like a wild fire, the truth is worth fighting for!
"Obama campaign admits he misrepresented Born Alive vote"
http://www.prolifeblogs.com/articles/archives/2008/08/obama_campaign.php
"The controversy at hand concerns Barack Obama's record and whether or the candidate has been truthful concerning his vote against the Born Alive Infant Protection Act, an Illinois state bill aimed at stopping infanticide following a botched abortion.Obama on Saturday rejected criticism that he opposed the bill as an Illinois state senator:
Well and because they have not been telling the truth. And I hate to say that people are lying, but here's a situation where folks are lying.
[snip]
So for people to suggest that I and the Illinois medical society, so Illinois doctors were somehow in favor of withholding life saving support from an infant born alive is ridiculous. It defies commonsense and it defies imagination and for people to keep on pushing this is offensive and it's an example of the kind of politics that we have to get beyond.
The National Right to Life quickly responded by challenging Obama "to either declare the two 2003 legislative documents to be forgeries and call for an official investigation, or else apologize for his four years of misrepresentation on the issue of babies who are born alive during abortions - and for calling us liars."
Previously, the NRLC posted documents which prove Obama misrepresented his record.
As noted by Jill Stanek and reported by the Sun, the Obama campaign yesterday ADMITTED that the candidate misrepresented his Born Alive vote. Jill comments,
Little did Obama know his own words would so quickly condemn him. He ADMITTED what he did "defies common sense and it defies imagination." In fact, it was heinous."
Actually, in my opinion, it is more than heinous. -

John Martin: That was a very interesting observation that the site of McCain's announcement is in neither Michigan (Romney) nor Pennsylvania (Ridge) but right between them, in Ohio. Also interesting to remember that Ohio gave Mike a good turn-out. And if Obama chooses Nunn, as rumored, that would strengthen the need for a southern conservative with executive experience. If Mike is asked and consents, we are going to be involved in one heck of a donnybrook between then and November.

John Martin, i like your tea-leaf reading. Whew! would this website ever light up if that happened.
Cindy McCain sent me a birthday card with John's picture on it for me to send back with a message. Of course, they want a donation. Maybe I can send a small downpayment and say more on the way if Huckabee is on the ticket.
GO - MIKE - GO !!

Unfortunately, it's probably not the HuckPAC people who believe the false reports - we KNOW better. It's the general public that concerns me. I don't know how you handle keeping up with the "whack a mole" untruths that keep popping up!
I've also posted on both Fox articles. The first one never showed up. We'll see about the second one. I don't know how they decide which appear and which don't. Both of mine were short.
We were without a TV for 4 months during the "reconstruction" of our 155 year old home. I don't think we missed out on much and I think we gained more. We did have the computer and I really would have missed my Huckabee "fix" without that!
Shalom!

I missed out on those comments because I have stopped watching all the pundits. I cannot stand the obvious bias in what passes for news these days.
Keep fighting the good fight, Mike. We support you and will fight along with you!

Your support for Israel is unwavering and refreshing!
Seales, James:
I didn't know anything about Pawlenty, but hearing a comment he made (read below) so turned me off. It was crude and dishonoring. What a man speaks so he thinketh in his heart."I have a wife who genuinely loves to fish. I mean, she will take the lead and ask me to go out fishing, and joyfully comes here. She loves football, she'll go to hockey games, and I jokingly say, 'Now, if I could only get her to have sex with me I'd really have it made.''"

Would Obama really let a baby that survives an abortion lay around a soiled linen closet until it died? The answer appears to be Yes...

I'm going to talk your post over with my husband. We have toyed with the idea in the past--I can't think of anything good TV is bringing into our household.
Thank you for posting.

Governor Huckabee--in C.S. Lewis' That Hideous Strength (I'm too lazy to figure out how to underline or italicize book titles here--sorry) he mentions "an engine called the press by which many are deceived" (quote from memory and probably not in his exact words).
Those of us who have read your books and blogs know better than to listen to what they say you said.
If I hear you say it, or if I read it on one of your blogs or in one of your books, I believe it. You are always consistent. God keep you true.
When I see video of Romney or Obama, and it is NOT just a sound bite (which can be taken out of context and distorted) I believe they probably said what they said! It gets a bit disturbing when what they say now opposes what they said a bit ago.
BTW--I'm another one whose short post was not deemed worthy to be posted on the Fox News poll. Only 40 something have made it so far.
